Earlier In our company we were facing a lot of challenges apart from threat and vulnerabilities like data getting out. but through this software we blocked all the peripherals and also measure size of data in and out. Additionally, We can even install a single software into multiple systems. It was a great investment and worth every penny
  • Unauthorized device restriction - It restrict several USB ports and monitor files transferred in or out of the system
  • App installation in single click - With single click we can install a single software into multiple systems
  • Threat Detection -detect and protect from several vulnerabilities
  • User Interface could have been better. Otherwise everthing is really fine.

We use ManageEngine Endpoint Central to manage laptops (Windows), physical, virtual and public cloud servers.Endpoint Central has solved the security gap that we may have regarding the security of endpoints, since we can do a periodic analysis and take mitigation actions automatically (patching, configurations, among other things). In addition, it helps us to have a real asset inventory, due to the rotation of equipment with different users, it is really a help for the company. More precise decisions can be made such as the purchase of new equipment or warranty renewals.
  • Periodic vulnerability analysis, including the solution to these security gaps.
  • inventory of assets (hardware and software), with notifications to interested parties
  • centralized application management: application deployment and application uninstallation (manual and automatic)
  • Should support the deployment of images for operating systems other than Windows
  • Agentless asset scanning, in addition to what already works well with agent
  • It must incorporate an antivirus, it is the last feature that would be missing to provide complete security management.
A suitable scenario is for automatic patching of operating systems and third-party applications. Being able to form test groups. before mass deployment of patches.A less appropriate scenario would be an environment with Linux equipment, with high turnover, because as the deployment of images is needed to have the equipment ready in a short time, it is not possible, since this functionality is not compatible with Linux Operating Systems

The manage engine is an IT asset management solution. It is the main tool for inventory and assets, application of security packages and environmental management.
  • Asset inventory
  • Applying security patches and updating software
  • Remote support for assets on my network.
  • Installation of programs.
  • Patch filter on the patch application page.
  • Network map
  • Customized dashboards.
I recommend using the solution in environments where compliance, maturity and control of assets and software are outdated. I don't recommend it in an environment with less than 50 stations and collaboration on a single platform. The solution is very robust and allows greater visibility of the infrastructure, supporting the installation, updating and uninstallation of applications, as well as protection against ransomware.

We manage all of our endpoints in Intune, but use ManageEngine Endpoint Central to do what Intune cannot. Mostly it is easy deployment of software where there are some nice features that makes deployment more simple than Intune. Besides software deployment, we also use it for updates, browser control and MDM for a few android handscanners.

The product gives a nice overview over devices, their inventory and a way to manage endpoints. Things like being able to access file manager, task manager, registry and other tools remotely without having to connect to the users computer is a big plus.

However, in my opinion, this product really falls short when it comes to remote connection. In my experience, the remote connection tool is slow, laggy and often disconnects. The chat opens in a seperate window and times out after a few minutes without any way to increase the timeout. It gets the job done in a pinch, but, in my opinion, other products like TeamViewer, AnyDesk and even Zoho Assist is a much more enjoyable experience.

In my experience, Support seems to not be able to solve this mystery. So we have not pursued a solution any further than spending a lot of time on troubleshooting.

I think the support is okayish. Quick response over chat, but, in my experience, a resolution often takes a lot of time. In my opinion, updates are a huge hassle and requires the application to be stopped and the application to be manually downloaded and installed. When support asks for logs, they need to be manually exported from the logs folder on the server, zipped and sent to support.

  • Endpoint Management
  • Threat detection and remediation
  • Patching and software updates

It is a great tool cost wise for small businesses who want a swiss army knife with a tonne of features. Some work better than others, but overall it does get the job done

ManageEngine Endpoint Central is used by us to centralise patch management and remote support for the organisation. It also helps us clarify asset management and gives us another place where we can cross check assets. We also use the software to push out applications to the endpoints so that the helpdesk can quickly remotely install an application from the server. ManageEngine Endpoint Central is on a locally hosted virtual machine and is protected by a DMZ secure server that handles all traffic to and from the on-premise machine. We aim to go into the cloud next year as this will simplify our approach.
  • Patch Management
  • Remote Support assistance
  • Application rollout
  • Reporting is not perfect but just adequate
  • Remote tools are OK but are overshadowed by Microsoft Powertoys
  • Little use of AI in the product which is disappointing in todays age
ManageEngine Endpoint Central is fantastic for a set and forget patching tool. This is great for the Windows clients that we have and provides good reporting and ensures machines are kept up to date and gives us good reporting on which machines are vulnerable in our organisation. Linux machines are not as well handled due to the multiple flavours of Linux that are out there. ManageEngine Endpoint Central only manages specific versions of Mac and Linux so it is best to check compatability ahead of time.

Endpoint Central by ManageEngine is an outstanding solution that has significantly enhanced our security infrastructure. Its seamless functionality and robust patch management capabilities have proven invaluable, streamlining our operations and fortifying our defenses. A reliable choice for organizations seeking effective endpoint security and comprehensive patching solutions.
  • Patch Management
  • Remote Support
  • Inventory Scanning
  • Device Control
  • Device Security
  • DLP
ManageEngine Endpoint Central excels in large organizations requiring centralized endpoint security and patch management. It shines in scenarios with diverse endpoints and complex networks, ensuring uniform protection. However, for smaller setups with limited resources, its comprehensive features may be excessive, making a more streamlined solution more appropriate.

ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a one console which can give you capabilities like managing Windows/MAC/iOS/android devices from a single console. You don't need to buy different products from market to manage your mobile devices separately. This tool makes the life easy for the admins who manages the customer environment. It is very great user interface tool which gives all the capabilities to manage the endpoints. It has so many features to explore and implement in the environment. Specially the patch vulnerability assessment feature is one of the best which gives you direction to make your environment compliant with all security updates and protect the devices from being vulnerable.
  • Patch Management
  • Application Management
  • Remote control
  • OS deployment
  • For managing the WFH users
When you are managing different tools like SCCM/Intune to manage on-prem and cloud devices then ManageEngine Endpoint Central can be the best suited tool to leverage all these capabilities in a single console and manage your endpoints with all the features like App deployment, patch management, Vulnerability management, OS deployment, MDM etc.

Using ManageEngine Endpoint Central helped us managed a decentralized computer network while our employees work from home or from different locations in Europe, where the networks are not centralized. Having full management over the computers as OS deployments, controlled updates and remote deployments eases our job in the IT department - leaving us time to focus on other important things.
  • Remote Software deployment
  • Remote OS updates
  • Remote configuration deployments
  • Remote OS deployments
  • Good pricing
  • Better customer support.
  • Complex steps and menu ambiguity.
  • Missing configuration options for Windows
  • Missing MacOS configuration features vs Windows
In my opinion, ManageEngine Endpoint Central is recommended for decentralized mixed computer environments where people work from unmanaged offices, hotels, coffee shops or from home with a mix of OS's (Windows, Mac's and Linux). Also, I think ManageEngine Endpoint Central remote management solution is recommended from the license pricing point of view even for low budget IT departments. In case you have exclusive one vendor computer networks (like only Windows computers, or only Mac computers), I think there are better suited solutions from the perspective or features, customization and integration.

We use ManageEngine Endpoint Central as our primary software for managing security patches on our corporate assets. We needed to automate the patch management process and avoid doing updates manually on hundreds of servers and clients. In addition, we needed to perform patching within a short time of vulnerabilities coming out. Manually we were taking too long. So we searched and found the perfect software for our needs which was ManageEngine Endpoint Central. It helps us quickly update assets by automating most of the actions we used to perform manually. It also has dashboards that quickly allow us to have an eye on the overall situation of our corporate fleet.
  • Patching Linux/Windows/Mac servers and clients
  • Intuitive Dashboards
  • Fix vulnerability
  • Installing software
  • Remote control and support with various tools windows machines
  • Creating own personalized dashboards
I recommend ManageEngine Endpoint Central in environments with hundreds of servers and clients. It updates both Windows and Linux machines comprehensively. Also if you need to perform pre or post-deploy tasks this is the software for you. I personally find it excellent to use in smaller environments as well. It is also possible to use it in large environments with decentralized offices. Great for having complete enterprise management of your entire fleet.

<div>We use endpoint central daily. We have it perform automatic and scheduled updates of all versions of Windows (PC and Server editions) and Microsoft Office. In addition, the tool is invaluable in that it offers our IT staff remote control for support purposes of all machines on the domain, even those that reside in remote locations (using VPN). <br></div><div>We also use the tool to exclude or remove certain updates that are known to cause issues. Another frequent use is the ability to monitor software/hardware inventories and manage software installed, very useful for detecting risky or out of date 3rd party software. Having purchased the addon package of endpoint security, we can also centrally manage Bitlocker encryption for all machines (encrypt/decrypt on the fly, even if users lost their Bitlocker passwords, this product allows IT admins to see the Bitlocker key and use it to unlock their PC's). All in all, this is a time saving, efficiency increasing tool, that allows one IT person to perform the work of many others. It is highly recommended.<br></div>
  • Scheduling of Microsoft updates (and exclusions of updates or machines)
  • Endpoint security management - risk assessment - bitlocker encryption management - Security hardening
  • Remote control of devices for IT support with or without end user permission
  • SW and HW reporting and management / Inventory
  • User Interface could use some cleanup.
  • Updating the software itself should become more automatic.
This software is suited in any environment where there are more end user than IT staff, which is pretty much everywhere. This becomes especially true in medium to large sized business and organizations. The amount of time saved (from IT Support and Administration but also from the end user's side) is simply incredible. In addition, Junior IT admins will find the automatic suggestions e.g. for optimal server configurations / setup quite useful.
The only scenario where I'm not sure the benefits will outweigh the costs are in very small businesses, where there are few end users and few PC's/Servers. In all other scenarios, this tool is truly invaluable, compared to the it's low financial cost. I would add that purchasing a perpetual license is also an option with this product and does make financial sense after 5 years or so.

ManageEngine Endpoint Central (formerly Desktop Central) has been implemented in our environment to help us manage our devices as an alternative to other solutions like SCCM or Intune. It is intended to allow us to remotely support all of our Windows 10, and now Windows 11, devices in the environment. It is intended to allow us to manage software deployments, keep software up to date, approve patches, and assist users who are down and not able to get access to their devices.
  • Managing inventory
  • Connecting remotely to users
  • Technical Support
  • Crisis/Outage Support
  • Customer Subscription Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Endpoint Central sprint release notifications and support
ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a great alternative to Microsoft Intune and System Center, especially if you don't have the budget to maintain an entire team of system administrators to manage your endpoint manager. Their remote support options are superior to other solutions on the market and run a very close second to many of the solutions leading the industry. However, if you are trying to implement the system independently or you have an outage with an established system, ManageEngine Endpoint Central continues to struggle in its customer relations department. In my experience, technical support and customer service have consistently long wait times. If you can even locate the right number to call, I feel the follow-up assistance for an ongoing issue is laughably lax and inconsistent. ManageEngine Endpoint Central is definitely better than a lot of other systems on the market and has an incredibly economical pricing structure, but ManageEngine has a long way to go before they can compete with even Microsoft in the "I need to speak to a human" department.

I manage from there all the PCs of my company, previously we had to travel to all our remote agencies which generates high costs, but now with the help of the tool we have been able to have a more timely and accurate control over the PCs without traveling, this tool we have deployed in all the PCs of the company.
  • Hardware inventory control.
  • Control of software inventories.
  • Management of security patches on operating system and third-party applications.
It is suitable for centralizing the administration and management of PC infrastructure and its software. Also for the management of security patches on operating system and third-party software. previously the management had to be done manually and that generated a lot of operability and cost overruns due to the displacements to the remote agencies.

I use Manageengine Endpoint Central for patch management, remote support, inventory collection, and mobile device management. It helps me keep up with compliance while providing a central tool for everyday tasks like troubleshooting and remote support. It's a great tool for monitoring software licensing compliance as well. It basically makes my job a lot easier.

  • Software uninstall could have better reporting.
  • Updating the remote client can be problematic when an old version is already installed.

We utilise ManageEngine Endpoint Central to manage and secure approx. 2000 devices ranging from laptops, servers as well as more than 1000 mobile devices with the MDM add-on. Our people are spread all over the country, hence a tool that can manage (and secure) all of these devices in much detail was needed and this product has helped us significantly in achieving this.
  • Securing mobile devices
  • Monitoring and securing our various servers
  • Managing people using these devices
  • Protecting our network, company and client data
  • More granular access level controls for technicians (restrictions for juniors) on the Mobile Device Management add-on
  • Monitoring mobile data usage on mobile devices, this has been in the product pipeline for 5 years, but not yet implemented
  • Ability to remotely support company-owned mobile devices with no end-user permission. End-user needs to allow the remote session, when sometimes that's what we don't want since we're doing an investigation.
Years ago I investigated several similar systems, initially I did not consider ManageEngine since the pricing was too cheap to be a good product, until we did a trial. Wow, we were surprised. The functionality exceeded other paid-for applications, especially on the mobile side where most of our users are. It's worth noting we bought the on-prem version, but have never regretted it from a per user per month cost of almost all the other products available since we've grown from 300 users to close to 2000 now. If you want to properly manage your endpoints, albeit servers, PCs or mobile devices, all the functionality is there and when support was needed, the guys from India have always been very quick to respond and solve the issue. Even customizations we required were done at zero cost just to accommodate us.

I'm using ManageEngine Desktop Central for remote control of PC/Laptops in my organization. It is one of the most secure and reliable remote access software. The connection is very stable. I can manage the systems by IP or computer name by syncing my Active Directory. It can quickly transfer files which [are] mostly needed to copy a patch file or software. It is easy to manage and deployment of ManageEngine Desktop Central is very easy. I have added [the] Desktop Central agent file in my custom windows ISO and it is totally working fine when I installed windows [on] PC/Laptops. No need to install it again which is a time saver. Besides remotely accessing and transferring files, there is also [a] telnet option as well as we can uninstall specific computer installed software without accessing the computer which is a very good option for IT engineers and tt has a better user interface.
  • Remote access
  • Computer inventory
  • Software inventory
  • Remote access via browser is little slow
  • Desktop Central should launch a portable tool for remote access for Windows and Mac
  • Desktop Central service sometime won't start, need to fix
It is a great tool for remote access to computers which allows you to take full control of the organization's computers. The remote access is very easy to use and clean GUI. It stores information from previous remote visits [to] computers. It can easily transfer files and we even can chat with users through [the] chat option which is very fast and responsive.

We use it for the whole organization. Before the pandemic, all the users were working at the office, but since March 2020 all went to work on the home office scheme, then, we published the Desktop Central Server (because we use the on-premise version) to reach all user's computers. We can face the computers scanning and keep them updated using the Patch Management module, then, we make sure that all the computers and servers are up to date. Additionally, we can provide remote support to our end users to solve daily common issues like email fetching, web apps logins, etc. That remote support allows file transfer, chat, audio or video call with the end-user (among others).
  • Provide so many tools during the remote control (blank screen to the end-user, transfer files, chat, video call, send commands like Ctrl+Alt+Del).
  • Install / Uninstall software silently for the end-user, without the need for their participation.
  • Keeping the machines up to date using the patch deployment (for Windows and 3rd parties).
  • Automate the regular maintenance like deleting temporary files, emptying the recycle bin, and disk defragmentation out of operational hours.
  • Scheduled Wake On Lan the machines to execute some tasks, like prevent maintenance, install/uninstall software or patches. Obviously, it also can power off the machines after tasks are performed.
  • Increase the configurations for Mac and Linux systems (because most of the features are available only for Windows).
  • Expand the scope of the mobile app, like OS Deployment and MDM modules.
  • OS Deployment module has many flaws, I think it could be improved.
Well suited:
1) If you need to have the inventory details about your computers and servers, no matter if they are in or out of the office.
2) If you need to provide remote support to your end-users or inclusive to your end customers because there is an MSP version.
3) If you need to automate preventive maintenance to your computers and servers and keep them up to date Less appropriate:
1) If you need to deploy the whole operating system remotely, there are still some flaws, and is not so fast.
2) If you need to keep all control from the mobile app, as of now that is not possible because not all the modules are added in the mobile app.
3) If you need to block the USB ports on Mac or Linux machines because that feature is only available for Windows.

We use ManageEngine for systems inventory and patch management across our organization. ManageEngine maintains a list of all PC's in our organization for Audit compliance. We also use ManageEngine to patch Microsoft and third-party software on all systems for security and audit compliance. We also use the remote desktop function for some support cases.
  • System inventory - ManageEngine scans every computer, listing a detailed report of all hardware and software.
  • Patch management - Microsoft products and most third party software receive security updates on a regular schedule without user intervention.
  • Inconsistent across modules - Some fields cannot be viewed from different modules.
  • Reporting could be improved to make it more user-friendly and flexible.
ManageEngine Desktop Central works with Active Directory but does not require it. The client module runs on Windows, Macs, and Linux. We have a very distributed environment with approximately 115 branch locations. Desktop Central makes it very easy to maintain our hardware inventory and ensure that all systems are patched. This greatly reduces maintenance labor. Reporting on out of warranty systems also helps with yearly purchase decisions.
